Religious patterns added at the String Art Fun website

String art picture making has much in common with prick and stitch card making. It uses nails hammered into a backing board and coloured wool or string to create the design.

Six new religious string art patterns have been added to the String Art Fun website. The patterns are a plain cross, a decorative cross, a cross on a hill, a dove, a girl praying and an angel.

The pattern size is approximately 300 mm x 210 mm (12 x 8½ inches). They are delivered by download to your computer in PDF format.

The patterns are available individually and in a value pack of six patterns for the price of five individual patterns.

Sweet peas – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card is called Sweet peas and was made by TeaDrinker.

TeaDrinker said: “This is an easel card. It is a sweet pea decoupage from La Pashe.”

Ginger cat waterfall – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card is called Ginger cat waterfall and was made by Jenny.

Jenny said: “I made this with pictures from a calendar. The small pictures from the back of the calendar were just the right size to make a waterfall card. Last year’s calendar was ginger cats.”

Pop Up Hexagon Ball – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card is called Natalie and was made by Eileen.

Eileen said: “I used a digi stamp coloured with Copic markers on the front of the card. The inside of the card has a pop-up-ball that folds flat for postage and springs up when the card is opened.”

If you would like to try a pop-up-ball there is a pattern for a collapsible calendar on the Victorine Originals website. The pattern is in PDF format. The ball has a rubber band inside so you can collapse it flat to go in an envelope. When the card is opened it will spring back into shape.

4th of July hat pattern added at Stitching Cards

A 4th of July hat pattern has been added to the Stitching Cards collection. The design features a hat with stars and stripes and the words 4th of July.

The pattern size is 152 mm x 104 mm (6 x 4½ inches).

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. It is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, family reunions and various other public and private events.

Christening card – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card is called Christening card and was made by Pipa.

Pipa said: “The sweet image is from the Baby Love JS CD. It has a lace acetate panel at the side. I punched and embossed the flowers and added pearls. I made the little book. Silver corner peel offs and holographic strip were added to side.”

Flower Border stitching card patterns added at Pinbroidery

Six new flower border stitching card designs have been added to the Pinbroidery pattern collection. Each card has a different stitched greeting: Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Best Wishes, Thinking of You, With Love and Good Luck. The greetings could be substituted for alternative stitched words, stickers, decoupage or motifs.

The patterns are available in the following sizes:
Square format of 144 x 144 mm (5.65 x 5.65 inches).
Rectangular format of 152 x 104 mm (6 x 4½ inches).

Free puppy pattern added at Stitching Cards

A free puppy pattern has been added at the Stitching Cards website. Children of 10+ should be able to stitch this (with some adult help and supervision). It is also a cute card for children to receive.

The design has been kept delibrately simple with wider spaced holes and more detailed stitching instructions. This should make it quick and easy to stitch.

Handbags and shoes – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card is called Handbags and shoes and was made by Steffi.

Steffi said: “This is inspired by Sheila’s Tri-Fold Stepper card. I backed the peel-offs with the stripy paper before cutting it out. I just wondered whether I needed to add anything more. I was in two minds whether to put a larger sentiment in black and maybe some more handbags on the edges? ”

Bookmark flower patterns added at Stitching Cards

Six stitching patterns decorated with flowers inspired by William Morris textiles have been added to the Stitching Cards website.

The patterns can be stitched as bookmarks or as greetings cards. They are ideal for birthdays, anniversaries and to send messages such as congratulations, well done, thank you, with love, sympathy or invitation. William Morris was a nineteenth century designer associated with the English Arts and Crafts Movement.

The patterns are available individually and in a value pack of all six designs. The pattern size is 152 mm x 104 mm (6 x 4½ inches).
