Gate fold with embossing – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card was made by Pipa and is called Gate fold with border bars embossing.

Pipa said: “I embossed the gates and did the flowers a few times and layered them up. I added silver peel off to the sides and added gems. It has overlapping ovals on deco lady on the inside with peel off around and also on the sides.”

Couple on sledge – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card was made by Pipa and is called Couple on sledge.

Pipa said: “I matted the image onto blue Cuttlebug and then layered onto black. The base cardstock is raised gold embossed. I cut out the flowers, decoupaged them and added gold beads to the centre. A ribbon tag and glitter were added to finish.”

Free Queen’s Diamond Jubilee pattern at Stitching cards

To mark 60 years of Her Majesty The Queen as Head of State in the United Kingdom Stitching Cards have released a free Diamond Jubilee pattern.

The Diamond Jubilee celebrations will centre around an extended weekend in 2012 on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June.

Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne on 6 February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2 June 1953. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002.

The only other British monarch to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria in 1897.

The Stitching cards Diamond Jubilee pattern would make a great souvenir of this royal occasion.

Windmill pattern added at String Art Fun website

A windmill string art pattern has been added to the String Art Fun website. String art pictures are made with nails and string on a wooden base. The windmill pattern can be worked in silver string, thread, wool or thin wire on a black felt background.

The pattern size is approximately 300 mm x 210 mm (12 x 8½ inches). It is delivered by download to your computer in PDF format.

Black Christmas tree – Form-A-Lines gallery card of the week

This week’s card was made by Must love cats and is called Christmas Tree.

Must love cats said: “In keeping with my black and white phase I decided to see how this design worked. It’s the ‘Christmas Tree’ pattern from Form-A-Lines Christmas Kit 3. I printed the Merry christmas as a background and decided to do the half black half white thing there. I am rather happy with the result.”
